Museum of Fine Arts Houston Hosted Latin American Experience Weekend

Based in Houston, Texas, Margie Beegle Sales, Inc. (margiebeeglesales.com) handles estate planning from start to finish, priding itself on fun, safe, fair sales. To stay current with pricing and related developments, Margie Beegle Sales maintains membership with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH).

Situated in the heart of Houston’s Museum District, the MFAH features a permanent collection of more than 65,000 pieces of work. Founded in 1900, the MFAH’s campus consists of two gallery buildings, library, movie theater, sculpture garden, art schools, museums, and a visitor’s center. In addition to its pieces of art, the museum showcases works of 20th-and 21st-century artists, including Henri Matisse and Auguste Rodin.

To help raise money for these exhibits, the MFAH hosts a variety of fundraising events throughout the year. One biannual event is its Latin American Experience Weekend, which most recently took place from November 19 through 22, 2015. The weekend featured gallery visits, cocktail parties, dinner at the museum, and previews of exhibitions.

The 2015 weekend also coincided with the opening of the “Contingent Beauty: Contemporary Art in Latin America” exhibit housed in the permanent Latin American art collection. All proceeds raised from the weekend benefited the Latin American art acquisitions program at the MFAH.
